A base doesn't dictate car seat security, the installation does. The PIPA urbn is crash-tested for a secure, baseless install. Instead of a detachable base, it features steel-reinforced pipaFIX™ rigid lower anchors integrated directly into the shell allowing for a quick and simple install. FMVSS-certified and equipped with advanced side-impact protection, it allows for secure installation using the built-in anchors, the vehicle seat belt, or both. Always review your vehicle and car seat manuals for proper compatibility and installation.
Will the PIPA urbn fit in my car?
The baseless PIPA urbn takes up noticeably less front-to-back space than a traditional car seat, making it highly compatible with most vehicles.
